I would like to wish a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all and everyone. I will not be lonely for Christmas. There is something nice planned, me included, and there is already a good Christmas atmosphere everywhere here. I am walking around with a Santa hat all day and there are Christmas trees everywhere, so it will all be really nice, really. Moreover, I would like to explain about the money question which was in the media today (December 24th) and I would like to explain some more . Here is what it is about: we, my father and I, never have had much money, therefore I learnt to make the most of a little. Guppy was in bad shape when we bought her and we refitted her ourselves spending lots of work and money on her. Also I have always worked very hard, so I have enough money left to buy the real necessities for my trip, even though I am not rich. I do not have many sponsors, some chose out because of the uncertainty of me getting permission to depart or not. When this was resolved and I got permission, I departed immediately and there were not many sponsors along. But now I am on my voyage and some people may
think that everything is just fine. I will cope no doubt, but I cannot deny that a little bit more of everything would be nice. Guppy is not equipped with redundant equipment and of course I have everything I realy need. Obviously I would not object to some extra stuff…I would like to say thank you very, very much, to all my sponsors and to everyone helping in so many ways. Without you I would never have gotten this far.
