We have set off again, heading north this time – away from the Caribbean islands and back into the Atlantic Ocean.
We’re heading for Bermuda, keeping a little further west from our rhumb line to have a better wind angle now, but also later in the journey when we sail into another weather system, out of the trade wind which for now is still accompanying us. The sea is gentle and the sky a vivid blue. Guppy’s red hull is flying through the blue sea, she has been racing along and we have sailed 204nm in 24hours! Yesterday a whale popped up its head to inspect this fast red object flying past and some dolphins played with our bow plunging through the waves as we sailed into the new day with the rising sun turning the sky orange, yellow, and purple. A nice start to our crossing 🙂
