We have sailed close hauled for a while, but now the wind is turningback south again and we are making pretty good progress. Last night acouple big squalls came over and now everything is back to normal–wetand salty! It’s been a good trip so far, we have run the engine lessthan four hours since Papeete. Tranquility decided to stop for a dayin Takutea, one of the Cook Islands, because they were getting tiredof motoring. Once they get to New Zealand, they are going back to workand settling there for a while. Their kids, age 10 and 8, are lookingforward to normal school and life on land. We are now well overhalfway between Papeete and Tonga. And I have promised Guppy that oneday we will come back to visit these wonderful Pacific islands.
