To a windless night with squalls followed another cloudy day with even more squalls. And the rain has not stopped all afternoon. Even after I had filled all of my buckets, my bottles and my water tanks with fresh water it kept raining … It rained so hard that I had to keep the hatch to the cabin closed so I wouldn’t have to put on a water ballet performance inside Guppy. Now with the closed hatch the air is getting to be very hot inside. The wind keeps shifting in all kinds of possible directions with speeds from 0 to 30 knots and at times up to 40 knots… Bouncing ball me is really missing the South Atlantic Ocean and longs to be out of the doldrums soon… But I also have to say that today a large school of dolphins suddenly appeared in front of the bow during one of the heavier squalls. That cheered me up . Guppy was cutting through the sea at 7 knots as the rain kept nailing the white foamy tips of the waves when the dolphins came jumping out and kept at jumping and diving back in the water. Of all the many times I have seen dolphins, this time was really the best and I enjoyed it more than ever.
