Since yesterday evening, I have better winds and I am going at a speed of 6,5 knots (ca. 12 kilometres per hour). Also yesterday in the evening I met a new acquaintance, a bird that had perched itself on top of the mizzen after having flowned three laps around Guppy and then crashed into the mainsail. He spend the night there. At dawn, the bird flew away and in gratitude for my hospitality, he has left Guppy pooped over from top to bottom and from bow to stern. This critter must have lost a lot of weight considering how much cleaning up he left me to do. This is definitely not what I imagine a morning at sea should be. Well anyway, It is really great to be at sea again. Guppy still has about 270 nautical miles to go [311 land miles or 500 kilometers] in front of its bow, so I think it shall take two more days.
