We sailed from Den Oever to Texel, the tide is running out early today so we get up at 6am and leave the dock at 7am. A watery sun is coming through and a strong breeze is blowing. Sadly on the nose, and with the small channel tacking is tricky, so we motor most of the way. On the way we get lucky and spot of a big group of seals on a nearby sandbar! We arrive in Texel at the end of the morning and spend the rest of the day catching crabs, playing in the water playground, climbing the watchtower and playing soccer. The next day we got up early again and walked over to the bike rental place to start our Island Cycling tour 🙂 First stop is the Juttersmuseum Flora. A very cool beachcombing museum with a treasure hunt, and lots of fascinating things that washed up on the beaches of Texel. We also cycled to the beach, a watchtower in the forest and had an icecream along the way 🙂 And if you thought that would get them tired, you’re wrong. They were still out catching crabs and playing on the field next to the boat right until cabin time!
