Finally the trade winds have become how they should be, around 20-25knots 🙂 The waves of course have also built a little more.. During my night watch I spotted a light on the horizon and since it was still there after hours, I had to assume it must be a sailboat as there is no ais from them. This is confirmed in the morning as we see a white sail appearing and disappearing behind the waves. Babs called them on the vhf to have a chat, she found out it is a 43ft (13mtr) boat with 4 adults from the US, heading to St Lucia. Guppy – being much bigger – of course is going faster but not a whole lot as I have the genua furled in a fair bit to reduce the tension on the repaired spinnaker pole car. I’d rather sail a few hours more and keep everything on board in one piece 😉

I wonder what it’s like to sleep on a boat that’s constantly in motion? Especially the smaller guppy version. I can’t imagine what you went through trying to sleep on your solo. I know! I’ll get the book! 🙂
Samen met Georg en vele anderen volg ik de voortgang van jullie reis op de voet met dank aan Garmin en jouw blogs, Laura. Komend weekend St. Martin op Barbados neem ik aan! Gogogo Guppy.
…Bridgetown at Barbados of course…
Laura, as always, circumspectly acting. THX! Georg
