Finally the trade winds have become how they should be, around 20-25knots 🙂 The waves of course have also built a little more.. During my night watch I spotted a light on the horizon and since it was still there after hours, I had to assume it must be a sailboat as there is no ais from them. This is confirmed in the morning as we see a white sail appearing and disappearing behind the waves. Babs called them on the vhf to have a chat, she found out it is a 43ft (13mtr) boat with 4 adults from the US, heading to St Lucia. Guppy – being much bigger – of course is going faster but not a whole lot as I have the genua furled in a fair bit to reduce the tension on the repaired spinnaker pole car. I’d rather sail a few hours more and keep everything on board in one piece 😉
