Today I stayed on the boat. Yesterday I went ashore to clear customs. This is very easy here. You go to the office and then they let you fill in everything into the computer by yourself, they don’t even look any further into what you have been typing. In English islands it is a little bit more difficult. However, the Frenchmen are very easy about it all. It rains quite often here and especially hard. But I cannot say that I find it very annoying since it is not really cold. Moreover, it cleans and desalts the boat quickly. From the boat I can catch a WiFi-signal [wireless network] from the shore, so I have internet access from time to time. That is pretty convenient. Besides that, today I sat down in the cockpit to do some schoolwork, so sadly I could not enjoy the beautiful view because I had to look down into my book, which was much less pleasant. However after finishing my schoolwork, I could enjoy the view with a feeling of satisfaction. Yes, I did schoolwork on a Sunday, mostly because I did not know which day it actually was. But it does not really matter so much around here. Guppy is laying quietly in the bay with 50 or so other yachts and is bobbing nicely up and down. The island is not big but very beautiful. Perhaps tomorrow I will go ashore to have a look at some more of the island, but today I am too lazy to walk.
