Since yesterday afternoon I am laying at anchor in Îsles des Saintes, a small French group of islands between Guadeloupe and Dominica. It is a beautiful island with a typical French flair. This is very nice. However, the trip was not as pleasant. Well, it was nice to sail the sea again and I enjoyed a beautiful sunset near the island of St. Kitts. But sailing so close along the islands stopped me from going to sleep so it was nice to catch some of it back after my arrival. Near Guadeloupe as I was inside the cabin preparing my breakfast, Guppy suddenly came to a jerky stop. When I ran outside, I found out why immediately. I had dragged some 30 meters [100 feet] long fishing-garbage with me. After some hard work, I untangled from it. Around here, it is more unusual if you do NOT catch such fishing buoys with your boat. I came to meet about 50 of them off the shore of the Îsles des Saintes. Now I am laying next to a Netherlands couple who invited me for dinner on board of their boat right after my arrival. It is always nice if I do not have to cook by myself, so I had a cosy meal there, and then I went to sleep.
