Sea lions everywhere!
27th May 2012Next stop: Hiva Oa
2nd June 2012Our dinghy got stolen, but we found it back!
The dinghy got stolen last night by one of the locals who asked $300to give it back again the next morning! We of course didn’t pay, webought a lock and now always lock the dinghy. We’re still thinkingabout leaving in a couple days towards Hiva Oa. That is the sameisland where I went last year. I really liked it but only stayed a fewdays. We bought a lot of food in Panama so we’re good for a few monthsmore. Also we have fuel, water, finished checking the rigging andpropellor, and fixed a few other things. Guppy looks great. Today wewent on a snorkel trip with Kris and crew from Donna, the neighborboat from Belgium. That was fun. We had sea lions swimming and playingaround us, saw swimming iguanas and of course turtles and stingrays.I’ve seen that all before so it’s less exciting this time but still alot of fun. Today was the only really rainy day, right during oursnorkel trip so we were really freezing, especially because the waterhere comes straight from the South Pole and is pretty cold.
