Another beautiful and sunny morning, and there is really no cloud in sight! Guppy is surrounded by dark blue, light blue and even more variations of blue. Once again I took my sextant to ‘shoot’ the sun and determine my position by this ancient method. This is much easier to do aboard a big ship like the “Stad Amsterdam” than on my rocking horse.. Well, practice makes perfect! Guppy still has 500 nautical miles to go [926 kilometres or 575 land miles], and if the wind cooperates a little, I will drop anchor at Hiva Oa island in about three days. I am not totally getting used to this idea yet.. Iwould like to go running and walking, but trying this as soon as in three days would not be too wise a decision. My foot would rather stay at sea for a little longer to enjoy the rest and well, I cannot really be against its choice.
