The cat enjoys the sailing so far: sleeps, plays, eats, and gets fatter by the day. I made a little harness for her so she lives outside in the cockpit and under the sprayhood. Shaul is seasick most of the time, especially now that we have wind about 15 to 20 knots on the nose and 6 foot waves rolling over Guppy. Together with a swell against us, we’re only doing 3 knots! And I can’t get any more out of her unless we’re going back to Panama. Again we came 50 miles closer to the Galapagos. I saw on my gribfiles that these winds stay around 2 to 4 degrees N for a few days more. The boys were thinking sailing is relaxing. Well now they now it’s more like a roller coaster, you’re getting wet, and with three people inside it becomes a big mess. Maybe I should head south for a day to at least get a little bit out of these winds, but then again the wind shifted a little so I can go 250 degrees or tack doing 150. And both ways we’re not making a lot of progress. Well yeah, someday we will get there.
