Hello Everyone,
It’s been a while since the last update, I didn’t write because for my standards I haven’t been on a crazy awesome adventure lately. But actually I realised life is an adventure all together no matter where you are or what you do. I have been working full time since my return to New Zealand. I started a Job with a Marine Electrician. I’ve always loved solving problems and got more and more intrigued by electricity while working on Guppy’s systems. So I wanted to learn more and what better way then to work in the field, while earning some money too 🙂 It’s been really great and my boss is a patient teacher. So far I haven’t blown anything up so I think I’m not doing to bad 😉 Furthermore the preparations to get Guppy to Los Angeles are in full swing. It’s now official that she’s going to live with LifeSail to give other kids the chance to get out on the water to learn some magical truths about themselves and where life could take them. Just like Guppy has done for me 🙂
Last month I flew to Los Angeles myself to see where Guppy would go and I loved the LifeSail base and team, I’m confident they will take great care of Guppy and lots of kids will get inspired trough the combined spirit of Guppy and LifeSail. If you would like to know more about Guppy’s new home you can visit www.lifesail.org
I will sail her to Fiji together with her new caretakers at the end of April when the Hurricanes hopefully cease bashing us and the winter storm haven’t woken up yet. It’s a sad moment for me, but it still feels like the right thing to do, and I’m really pleased to know that she’s continuing on to inspire youth and being taken care of well. This was really important to me.
