The last few days I’ve been busy getting Guppy ready for the next trip, going to the San Blas again. I have been checking the rigging and all the electronics after not using it for more than a month and fixing some little problems. Now she is ready again. My new dinghy just arrived and I’ve been testing it out for the last hour. I definitely needed a new dinghy, because my other dinghy doesn’t really float anymore. And it’s pretty nice to get ashore without having to swim. Today I said goodbye to all my friends I made on Bonaire, except for one who I became really good friends with and is also keen on the adventure of sailing to New Zealand. So tomorrow I leave Bonaire again, but with crew this time. He’s not a sailor so I can teach him a lot. On the other hand, he’s a good guitar player so I can probably learn a lot too. I’m really curious about how it will be to sail with crew. Not being alone on the boat and not having the silence around me anymore, but it’s a nice new challenge!
