Since Saturday, Kim and my mother are back in the cold Netherlands. During my stay at
Mogán I was allowed to use the swimming pool and have breakfast at the Club de Mar
Hotel at Mogán. On the day before the last one my mother and my sister were here with
me, we went to La Cicala restaurant at Mogán; it was cosy and delicious.
Yesterday I sailed Guppy back to Anfi where we are now lying at anchor again; it feels
great to be a little rocked back and forth again. This doesn’t happen when lying at berth
in a harbour which sometimes just feels like sleeping in a house. I am planning to sail to
the Cape Verde Islands from here. Of course, I have to buy food, to refuel with Diesel, to
stock up with water and do the rest of the preparations for the Atlantic crossing. It would
be more difficult to do this in the Cape Verde islands. I think that I will depart from here
around the 10th, heading for the Cape Verde Islands. By the end of November I will start
with the crossing, heading to St Maarten. I still know some people from the last time I
was there 😉 [wink].
Now I will enjoy the beauty and the lovely people of Gran Canary, and then in nine days
I will be enjoying the open sea again.
