Our alarm goes off at 5.45am. It’s high tide at 6.30am and I want to have full advantage of the outgoing current. As I prepare the last things for our voyage to Scotland our young guppy crew slowly trickle out of their cabins, yawning but excited about our first long sail. The weather looks great. upwind for the first day and a half then going through the high and downwind for the remainder of the way. The upwind part is a little choppy and the kids have to get used to the movement and new angle of living. But on the second day everyone is already much better and starting to fully enjoy the sailing. We have blue sunny skies and friendly seas. It feels great to get my sextant out again and practise some sunsights, we look at the full moon and starry skies. On our last evening Thibault and Laura ( we have two Laura’s onboard now 🙂 ) Make a very yummy lasagna and as we are on our last miles to Inverness dolphins come to greet us. What a wonderfull welcome to Scotland!
