We are still making progress under light wind. After a promising start this morning the sun sadly faded again. In this hazy sunlight and in spite of the weak wind we are still doing 3,5 knots so I am not complaining. I spent the day checking on everything aboard Guppy and doing some maintenance work. Even though I do it regularly the rudder is well lubricated again. In the last few days with the washing over waves and Guppy rocking I just couldn’t do a proper job of it. My ‘sacrificial ropes’ for the Genoa have frayed much faster than I expected so now I have added stainless steel eyes to them. Also with much effort I managed to straighten the sprayhood halfway back into shape and I fixed the boom’s downhaul again what came lose becouse of a missing pen.. Altogether I had a nice and productive day. Let’s hope the wind doesn’t completely fade away so we keep on going ahead..
