Meeh, progress is so slow…There is just enough wind to sail but right against us, so we can either go south…or west. We’ve come about 50 miles closer to the Galapagos since yesterday. Even on the engine we’re going slow because of the southwest swell and short waves that keep bumping Guppy around. But there’s nothing we can do so we keep tacking–sailing a day south, sailing a day west and slowly, slowly coming closer. Well, I’m happy that there’s wind now of course. But still. With this speed it will take a while for the the remaining 500 nm. Everything else is okay. We still had some thunder and lightning going on at night, and a few squalls during the day but the last two days have been pretty okay. Yesterday I made pancakes and the mood on the boat is still pretty good. Everyone has their moments of course and Bruno’s iPod fell in the water with all his beloved music on it, so he wasn’t really happy yesterday. But yeah…shit happens.
