After a good start Guppy’s speed has dramatically dropped today… From 5 knots to 4 knots, to 3 knots and down again to a small 2,5 knots. Because the wind is coming directly from behind it seems to blow weaker than it actually does. Anyway, the sun is shining, the sails are barely flapping in the light wind and the windvane keeps Guppy on course so everything is fine actually. Go figure, we are also heading in the right direction! I can easily remember worse situations… In short, everything onboard is going well. I am no longer wet, salty and tired, or shaken inside the boat and I don’t have to check on my things flying around so I suddenly have plenty of time on my hands – something I really have to get used to. I catched up on some sleep, I made myself a nice and normal breakfast and I have set up my small Christmas tree with lights and all. OK, that may not sound too exciting so, Guppy and I are now slowly entering inside the warm Trade Winds zone, something I was really looking for after the cold and turbulent weather of the last months…
