Hi Laura and crew, many thanks for this beautifull foto of the "Southern Cross" in your blog od Feb. 11th. Then you should be also able to see our "next neighbour" sun, Alpha Centaury, "only" 4.3 lightyears away. You can see it only, if you also see the Southern Cross. It is actually a triple star system; Alpha Centausi A and B plus Proxima Centaury, which is "only" 0.2 lightyears away. From the earth you can see it as triple system only with a telescope. I have started to be intersted in astronomy; that's why I am so much interested in the Southern Cros and other star formations.. All the best to you all! Rudi
