My friend Jillian surprised me with a visit for a whole week. So wedecided to sail to Moorea, which is where we are now. We are reallyenjoying the quietness here in Moorea. Today Jillian and I hitchhiked around thewhole island with 6 different cars. =D One car took us all the way upa mountain where we had a beautiful view of the island. Of course wemet some really cool people, including a nice French couple who had usover to their awesome house on the water. We’ll probably stay here afew more days and then head back to Tahiti. Moorea is reallybeautiful. I am happy to have finally gone ashore too. I totallyforgot to do that last year. I went swimming with the rays and I had anice view of the island from Guppy, but going ashore and exploring theisland this year was much better. I have not yet had a chance to tryout my newly repaired surfboard but the waves aren’t so good at themoment, so it looks like I’ll have to be patient. Maybe it will bebetter when I’m back in Tahiti. French Polynesia is really beautifulbut expensive, especially the internet. 5 dollars for 30 minutes! Sothank god for my SSB radio with sailmail.
