I have been at anchor here for a few days now. It is a beautiful island. The inhabitants
are very nice. Although I do not understand most of them. Today I played soccer with
some Capeverdean girls of my age. Life here is completely different. Most of the people
spend the whole day outside of their houses and some even sleep outdoors. Here most
of the girls around my age already have children!!! They carry them along for the whole
day. Incredible. Nevertheless, they are very happy. Sometimes when I paddle to shore
(yes, paddle for I am too lazy to take out my big dinghy on which my outboard engine
can be mounted), people from the other yachts tug me if they happen to go in the same
direction as I do. The engine of the last boat that tugged me unfortunately broke down,
but someone else came by who then took us in tow. Some people said that it looked
really funny. I took the photo from my boat. As for the rest, everything is going well here,
it is pretty warm and usually I am on board of my boat until midday, because it is really
too hot to go walk before that time.
