Because of the atmospheric conditions, the daily short wave radio hour is now held at about 5 AM local time which mixes up my whole morning rhythm. After chatting for an hour I learned – with great satisfaction! – that the 52 feet catamaran that departed two days after me is still two days behind me, meaning of course that I must not fall asleep. They really thought they could catch up with Guppy! Well, it is not so easy to catch up with Guppy, and she will keep mowing down the 800 nautical miles that are still left to go [1481 kilometres or 921 land miles]. Even the flying fishes apparently cannot keep pace with her since the cemetery has been empty for the past days. Because there are not too exciting things happening and sleep very well, I have excess energy that I spend walking from bow to stern in the flamingo stance, adjusting the sails as best as possible and cooking dinner of course! This… is often an art of its own. If you make something and leave it unattended for just two seconds, you can be sure that it will fly away and come at you with neck breaking speed! It wouldn’t be the only or last time the pasta sauce is dripping down the wall… But once I manage to bring the pot, content included, safely outside, it tastes so much the better.
