After the press conference on Tuesday, some press people came over too late for me, well too bad. But now I have some peace and quiet for myself. By the way, it all went fine. Well you know I have done this many times before so I don’t have stage fright problems no more. With some people I met here, we went around the island in a rented car. We have been at the nature park on the west end of Bonaire. The scenery is very special. There are many cacti and lizards and it is very noticeably dry over there. Some time ago, it rained heavily so the island is quite green now. I have also seen many flamingos and I learned that they are pink colored because they eat shrimps. First, I could not believe it. But they said that it is really true, so I believed them anyway. I also met two North American peers – people my age. They also are sailing around the world… well along with their parents. They are lying at anchor here, and last night I enjoyed watching a film with them on board of their boat. I have tried to get on with my schoolwork early this morning, however, I have been too busy with the boat and with arranging things until now. My grandparents will arrive in Bonaire tonight, so I should start working on it again.
