Yesterday I had some wind and finally, after two days, I could turn the engine off. There is still wind, so with the halfwinder, the poled out Genoa and both mainsails up, with the wind coming at an angle from astern, Guppy goes at a speed of 5 knots. This afternoon a big sailing yacht passed me by and I had a chat with them via radio. It was the first boat I met since the Cape Verde Islands. I have also experienced my first squall (tropical rain), which came along with strong wind, of course. After I had taken down the halfwinder and the mainsail in time, I could enjoy the overflowing water and the rain on the foredeck. There is still a nice breeze but the rain has stopped. Apart from the calm weather I had, my voyage is going smoothly; it is all going very well. Some days, I have just enough time to do all I want and until now everything is going much better than I expected.
