As soon as the very last “Have a safe trip” was called out to me from other yachts, Guppy and I had already disappeared behind a huge curtain of rain. There are only light winds and through the drifting coconuts all around, Guppy is peacefully chugging on towards the open sea. It is cold and wet while I pass a mega-big waterfall. At the moment the swell is not as high as it was when I arrived here, but still I would welcome some stronger winds. Most usually when I take down the sails then the wind picks up, and when I try to catch some water then the rain stops.. But also that did not help.. Nature simply does as it likes, and today it decided that Guppy wouldn’t be sailing faster than four knots [7,4 kilometres or 4,6 land miles an hour].
