After 6 months of day and night work with lots of maintenance and upgrades done to Guppy, we just can’t wait to get out on the water again! I will make a post or video at some stage to show all of the upgrades and things we did last winter. Some of the big things are changing from one to twin engines, a hardtop dodger, heating in the boat, new water and diesel tanks and new windows. But for now, it’s about our new voyage. Since a few days Guppy is bustling with life again. It’s so nice to see all the things we have worked so hard on being put to use and enjoyed by everyone. All the teens are settling in nicely, getting to know each other and life onboard. There is lots of laughter, playing games and of course learning about life onboard. The last few days we spend getting provisions and stowing them all away onboard. We had two brave volunteers to demonstrate the inflatable lifejacket and immersion suit. We will continue with some more safety trainings tomorrow. They also learned how to make bread today, so we will find out how well that theory is going to put into practise 😉
