Well, I am still waiting for some wind.. Last night I sailed with the engine on for a slow going 3 knots. So I could steer Guppy from moving perpendicular to the swell this way I could at least have a reasonably good sleep. For one hour in the middle of the night there was a strong squall with thunder and heavy rain and I thought about putting up the sails, but after some hesitation I decided to keep running on the engine. one more hour of sleep was well worth the expense against the small number of miles we could make more under sails… And so days go by as we bob along, at day time I keep adjusting the sails to make the most out of even the smallest wind breath.. Today was beautiful with sunshine and it was not too hot, the time slowly ticking away.. there is no wind and I am learning to enjoy it. In any case I won’t be spotting land soon, wind or no wind. As long as there is no high swell I have a pretty comfortable life aboard..
